Free Field Trip
May 4th
10:30 or 1:30
ACCESS is presenting a virtual field trip for all history teachers, whether your students are in ACCESS classes or not.
The virtual field trip will consist of Dr. James Ferrell Smith,
a 1944 McKenzie High School graduate,
relaying the “untold” stories of going from a
cotton patch in McKenzie to active duty in WWII and Korea.
Dr. Smith is a retired Superintendent, History teacher, and professional educator. He has degrees from Troy University, Auburn University, University of Florida, and Nova University. Dr. Smith is an excellent story teller and will be glad to answer questions from your students. All you need to do is respond to this e-mail and let us know which time you will be participating and then take your class to your VCI (video) lab at the proper time for the field trip.
ACCESS will test call your school prior to the field trip to make sure everything is working properly. Basically, all you have to do is show up with your class. The field trip will last no longer than one hour.
