I just remembered Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater. It's a great read-aloud for as young as K. It's a wonderful family book to share. Needless to say, it's about penguins. The library has a copy that's in and you can find it in the Junior Fiction area. It's a Newberry Honor winner.
