- 2 empty, rinsed out cans (like from tomato sauce or soup or veggies - size doesn't matter) PER CHILD. Before you come, pierce each can twice, once on each side so that when it is turned upside down with the open end down, the holes are big enough to pass a string through(we're providing the string there). The holes should be pretty close to the "up" end of the can which is what the children will be standing on. These are the stilts.
