WELCOME to the NEW Troy, Alabama Home School Co-Op

In talking to my husband about how excited I am about all this working out, he suggested doing a blog so we can all keep in contact and informed. I am new to this "blog," but hopefully will figure it out. I will copy Melanie's first interest letter to this so if you know of anyone else that needs to see it can.

At our beginning of the year meeting we discussed a desire for an organized PE class but haven't been able to organize one yet. Well, a mom (Carlene Sessions) is looking into the possibility of teaching a co-op (where other moms help with teaching some and with the little ones, etc.) class once a week of three subjects - PE, writing, and another subject not known yet.

It would be three hours one morning a week, possibly every week or every other week beginning in January and running through May.

Right now, she just needs to know if you are interested, not committed. I know that's not many details but as things shape up, or not, we'll give you more details. If you would reply your interest - or lack of interest - by
e-mailing Carlene, it would be a help. Again, this is NOT a commitment but if you know now that you are interested in this her pursuing that, please let her know that and on the other hand, if you already know that you're not in a position to participate in that, please let her know that too. Also, I think she'd welcome any questions and share what her vision is for this class.

Thank you for your help.
Melanie Hamlin
